Bollywood actor Sunny Deol to Dub for Vin Diesel in Riddick.Sunny Deol is in talks to lend his baritone to the character played by Hollywood star Vin Diesel in the Hindi version of sci-fi action film Riddick.
Riddick is the third film in The Chronicles of Riddick series, starring Diesel as the title character and will be released in India on September 6 in four languages - English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Sunny has been approached for the dubbed Hindi version as his voice is similar to that of Diesel's.
Confirming the development, a representative of PVR Pictures said: "Yes, we have approached Sunny to dub for Vin Diesel for the film."
"He is one of the few actors well known for his deep and commanding voice. Hence, we feel this will make for a great connect for Indian audiences. Now we are hoping it all goes well and we get to hear his voice in the movie," added the representative.
It was earlier reported that Diesel will visit India in September to promote the film and Sunny is expected to join them.
Written and directed by David Twohy, Riddick is set in an apocalyptic future with an alien race of predators hunting down humans on a distant planet.
