A few days ago, Sony Music joined hands with Eros International to distribute the music of the soon-to-be-released love story. The price of Rs 6 crore is one of the highest in recent times. Nowadays, the music rights do not fetch a high price unless the film has a very big star cast. This price for Raanjhanaa is simply because of A R Rahman's popularity. Ghajini and Rockstar too had fetched a good price."
Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film marks the debut of Tamil star Dhanush in Bollywood. The love-story is set in Delhi and Varanasi.
